Blauwtrust Groep connects the housing related supply and demand for residential mortgage funding in the Netherlands through its entities De Hypotheker, Conneqt, Quion and Dutch Mortgage Portfolio Management (DMPM).

The parent company BTG sets up group-wide strategy, goals and parameters in order to give guidelines to the subsidiary companies and to serve them with the appropriate support in, amongst other things, accounting & financial control, group control, compliance, audit, legal and privacy.

We have an informal working atmosphere in which we think it is important to focus on the development of the organisation as well as the employees. We focus on qualitative results in a qualitative way.

You will join the team of Accounting & Financial Control. The total amount of employees is 14. You will report to the CFRO of Blauwtrust Groep.  

 

What will you do?

As manager of Accounting & Financial Control, you provide direction and bring focus. You have the right conversation with the colleagues in your team to make them shine and grow. You will ensure that your team gets the best out of itself and that the desired output is achieved. As a result, your finance team is ready for change and the future.

You take care of the further development of your team, setting up the financial and commission administration as efficiently as possible, tailoring reports (including financial, management and annual accounts) to the wishes of stakeholders.

You advise management regarding strategy from a financial point of view. You do this for all BTG entities, namely Quion, Conneqt, De Hypotheker and DMPM and in the future possibly more(international) entities.

In addition, you are responsible for providing support in drawing up the financing policy, performance management and the monthly reporting of BTG total.

You also provide solicited and unsolicited advice on improvement opportunities. You pick up change issues with enthusiasm and translate them into the necessary change projects within Finance and ensure that they are implemented.

 

In short, as manager Accounting & Financial Control:

  • You are responsible for the short-term and long-term objectives for Accounting & Financial Control and the day-to-day management of the department;
  • You ensure the further development of Accounting & Financial control, with more focus on Financial control and more data analysis than data processing;
  • You identify financial, fiscal and legal (legal) developments and translate these into necessary changes in the department;
  • You coordinate, control and monitor the preparation of the (consolidated) financial statements of BTG and the operating companies;
  • You are responsible for the timely provision of reliable financial information, based on correct, complete and timely administration;
  • You provide support in preparing financial reports for management boards and supervisory boards;
  • You provide support in coordinating and monitoring the planning and control cycle, including the multi-year planning and budget cycle;
  • You perform proper stakeholder management with management board, shareholders, risk management, compliance, audit and external stakeholders (AFM, Tax Office and external auditor).

 

What do you need for this position?

As manager Accounting & Financial Control, you combine your critical and independent view with a proactive "hands-on" mentality. BTG is growing and therefore on the move, you fit into such a working environment. You think in solutions and you know what, when and how to delegate. You are a solid interlocutor, you can connect, prioritise and switch quickly. You stand up for your team and convey the importance and vision of your department to the rest of the organisation. You are a people manager, developing your team is central to the way you manage.

 

In addition:

  • You have WO work/thinking level;
  • You have a completed degree in chartered accountancy;
  • You have knowledge of accounting, reporting and financial control processes;
  • You preferably have experience with a Private Equity party;
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience, of which 2 years as a manager (preferably gained in financial services);
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills in the Dutch and English languages;
  • You have carried out or supervised previous (finance) change projects;
  • You have knowledge of mortgage processes is an advantage.
